What your team needs before a job

Give the person doing the work enough context to arrive prepared.

Pass along the agreement

The person doing the work needs the same scope the customer agreed to. Include requested extras and anything explicitly excluded. Do not rely on a conversation only the owner has seen.

Include the practical details

Keep the address, arrival time, access instructions, and relevant customer notes with the job. Confirm who is assigned before the day begins and update them when a booking changes.

Use checklists for work that repeats

When a job has a checklist, use it for the steps that matter. Make each item specific enough to complete and review. Keep unusual instructions in the job notes rather than assuming every visit is identical.

Agree on completion evidence

Decide which notes and photos will make the finished work clear. Capture the relevant area without including people or private information unnecessarily. Good evidence helps the customer review the job and the next worker understand what happened.
